Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Get Married in Private Arkansas Wedding Nearly 4 Years After

The pair tied the knot on Sept. 19, according to a marriage license obtained by PEOPLE

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are officially husband and wife.

Robach, 53, and Holmes, 49, tied the knot in a private wedding in Arkansas, according to a registered marriage license obtained by PEOPLE. The wedding took place on Sept. 19 in Washington County, one day after they applied for the license. The document was registered with the county clerk’s office on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The wedding location had a personal connection for Holmes, who was born in West Memphis, Ark., and attended the University of Arkansas.

Reps for Robach and Holmes did not immediately respond to PEOPLE when asked for comment.

The former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchors’ marriage comes a few years after Robach’s divorce from second husband Andrew Shue and Holmes’ divorce from Marilee Fiebig. Robach was also married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2009, and the pair share two daughters: Ava and Annalise.

The former co-anchors first sparked romance rumors in November 2022, after photos surfaced of them holding hands in a car during a vacation in upstate New York and cozying up at a bar in New York City.

At the time, Robach was married to Shue, while Holmes was married to Fiebig. However, a source told PEOPLE that there was no overlap between their romance and their respective marriages.

When news of Robach and Holmes’ workplace romance surfaced, Robach had not confirmed her separation from Melrose Place alum Shue, nor Holmes’ split from attorney Fiebig. In December 2023, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Shue and Fiebig sparked a romantic connection after bonding over their shared experience of splitting from their partners.

Robach and Holmes announced their engagement on the Oct. 14, 2025, episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast. “We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now,” Robach told listeners.

Holmes added: “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship.”

This past May, Robach and Holmes revealed that they’d officially set their wedding date while appearing on Giuliana Rancic’s podcast Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast. Although the two refused to share the exact date of their wedding, they did say that they’ve already planned out a few details of their ceremony.

“There is a way we want to get married that we haven’t revealed necessarily, but it would be very special to us,” said Holmes at the time. “We can’t say what that is. That’s a big thing for us.”

Later in the podcast, Robach explained that since this is both of their third marriages, the two just want to make sure they’re making the most of their time together.

“This will be our third marriage, both of us,” she said. “We’ve both been married twice before, and we want to maximize the amount of time we have together. We want to enjoy as much of that as we can.”

In February 2024, Robach shared on her podcast Amy & T.J. that for her third wedding, she wanted to do something smaller and more intimate. “Justice of the peace. Vegas,” she told Holmes when she asked her what she wanted to do for their special day.

“Is there a justice of the peace in Vegas?” Holmes asked, adding, “I thought only Elvis did them … That’s where you want to have it.”

Since going public with their relationship, Robach has expressed how she is happy with her decision to be with Holmes despite the tough fallout and the career compromises involved.

“I know that I know you well enough and I’ve spent enough time with you and I knew how I felt,” she said to Holmes on an episode of their podcast in January 2024. “And love sometimes is a choice, when it’s hard, it’s not just a feeling. Lust is a feeling, but love is a choice, I believe, and I have chosen to love you.”

Robach also revealed on the episode that she’d love to be reunited with Holmes onscreen again. She said, “I really want to be able to do what I love, and I want to be able to do it with you, and that’s more the pressure I feel.”

She also touched on her feelings if anything were ever to go wrong with their relationship.

“I would be devastated just personally because I want to be with you and I chose you,” the former presenter added.
